We love our pets and have a couple of cats and two very nice dogs. The cats are fine, they pretty much looked after themselves when it comes to the bathroom department, but those darn dogs, they are a different story. They have got into the habit of just going to the patio door and scratching and whining every time they want to get up to go to the backyard to do their business, they very annoying habit. I think it is about time we got one of those dog pet doors, and install it and the glass patio door we have leading up to the deck.

We live in a pretty cool climate so back yard birding can be a bit of a crap shoot when it comes to providing them with the basics they need. So what has the climate got to do with things you ask? Well I can’t tell you how many bird baths we’ve had break apart after a sudden nasty frost has hit us in the fall, when we weren’t expecting it, and the water in the bowl froze and cracked the stonework. I figure we’ll be ok this year as I just picked up one of those solar heated birdbaths when I was shopping for some Rustic Bird Feeders this week.

Summer is here and there are already record breaking temperatures. Are you a dog owner? I bet your dog loves the pool. Have you ever taken your dog to the pool without any dog pool toys? Even though the primary desire is to get wet and get cool, I am sure you want to see your dog happy and entertained. Sure your dog will love the swimming and splashing for a little while but throw a nice water proof volleyball across the pool and watch your dog’s reaction. He will flip out crazy going after it. My dog needed some special flea and tick medicine and the price at the vet was a lot more than I wanted to pay. I started researching dog supplies online  and it took a while to find the particular type I needed.  I finally found the medicine at about fifty per cent less than what the vet wanted to sell it to me.  Even with shipping , it was a lot cheaper. I have been very well pleased with the service I have recieved and will do business again online. Normally I can find Frontline products all the time but special stuff just takes a bit more time.  But it is well worth it.   

This type if dog is a very good companion dog as they often become very attached to an owner. Because they are also a very smart dog they are easy to obedience train and can be mixed easily with other dogs or cats. Havanese puppies are generally a good guard dog even though they are a small dog and will alert you to any stranger that may come to the house. Havanese puppies are very playful and enjoy going for walks so it is important to exercise your dog daily. The one downside of owning a Havanese is having to look after their coat. It can get very long and requires brusing every day.
