The front load washers are very energy efficient. As the drum is set horizontally in a front load washer, the amount of water required is very less than that required in top load washers. The revolution speed of a front load washer is very high. The working mechanism of a front loader is based solely on gravitational pull. So, the clothes suffer less wear and tear. The only disadvantage in a front loader washer is that the door locks after the washing is started and opens only after the process of washing is completed. We cannot add a dress or garment after the process has started. If a cloth is left out then we will have to wait for another load.
